BT Barcode Scanner is a barcode scanner app for android.
The app is able to capture and decode barcodes and send their content to any HID-enabled device using a simulated Bluetooth keyboard. This device is usually a PC or laptop, the app presents itself as a Bluetooth keyboard and ‘taps’ the characters on the barcode. This means that no additional software is required on the device that receives the characters; the existing Bluetooth software usually brings everything that is needed. If you can use a Bluetooth keyboard on the device, the ‘BT Barcode Scanner’ app will most likely work.
The app uses libraries and functions of the ZXing project, which is provided by its creators under the terms of the Apache license version 2.0. The license terms of the project can be viewed under the following link:

Data protection notice
The BT Barcode Scanner app does not collect any data. The only data known to the app is the scanned barcodes. This data is only stored internally until it is sent via Bluetooth and is never transmitted to devices other than the receiver you selected. When the logging function is switched on, the scanned barcodes are saved locally on the device and never transmitted to devices other than the receiving device you selected. When the log file is emptied, the scanned barcodes are completely deleted.
This app uses Google AdMob, a service for integrating advertisements from Google Inc. (“Google”). The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google AdMob collects information from your mobile device. The information generated by this about the use of the app (including your IP address) and delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information can be passed on by Google to contractual partners of Google. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data that you have stored.
AdMob data is stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The app operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both his apps and his advertising.
By using the app, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.
